The Ultimate Test

Have you ever wondered what you mind or your body can do? I often set goals for my self and I have a new one. So why am I posting about it? Because I know I can't do it unless you guys all know about it. I am not going to eat sugar for the entire month of March. If any of you guys see me even looking at a granule (is that what it's called?) of sugar please kick me. Here is what I can eat; as much fruit as I want, sports drinks such as Gatorade and fruit juices and sugar as long as it is in my meal... no, not like add sugar to my cereal, but sugar in breads etc. Anyone up to doing the challenge with me? My friend Rachel did this once and I thought she was crazy! Man, I hope I get those girl scout cookies I ordered before the end of the month, just kidding! I actually hope my husband eats them all before April 1st. Wish me luck!

In a matter of just a few weeks...

Brinley has managed to... Clog our toilet. I didn't tell you this story did I? Long story short NEVER EVER EVER FLUSH WET WIPES. We are also thinking there may have been some additional toys and such down there. A plumber would have been $200-$300 dollars so we opted to fix it ourselves
Total cost: 1 night with very little sleep, a trip to every store in Logan to find a toilet plunger, 3 days without our toilet, a flooded bathroom...TWICE, and one borrowed toilet auger (who knew there was such a thing?)
I walked into the living room the other day to find her playing near the Wii with several disks in her hand. Guess what? Yep, now our Wii doesn't work. I'm thinking there may be more than one disk in there and they won't eject.
Nintendo Wii Total Cost: approximately $300

Disk to Wii fit that I know for a fact is stuck in the Wii
Total Cost: approximatly $100

Other disks that are stuck in the Wii: Cost Unknown

and now after pressing buttons on my printer, you guess it. IT DOESN'T WORK EITHER!

HP Photosmart Printer Total Cost: approximately $200

Nigh-Night

Last night we told Brinley it was time for bed. She went and laid down in this cradle for her dolls, threw a blanket over her and said, "nigh-night." As you can see she is a little big for it. We let her lay there for about 5 minutes and when we picked her up to put her in her crib she cried and cried. She is such a funny girl.

What's that? What's that? What's that?

Brinley is obsessed with picking little things up off of the ground or wherever she can find them. Then she will bring them to me and say, “what’s that?” I feel like I am constantly saying, “Oh, it’s just a string” or “It’s a crumb from your toast” or “I don’t know what that is” Well, this morning in the car I hear, “What’s that?...What’s that?...What’s that?...What’s that?” Because I was driving I just turned around for a second to see what she was talking about and I saw that she has something in her hand. Thinking that she found a little crumb in her car seat I held my hand back behind me for her to put whatever it was into my hand. I thought to myself WHAT'S THAT? I know you are all dying to know what it was… Yes, she did just put a booger in my hand (I am gagging) Oh, I love being a mom!

Love-Love

We spent our Valentines day skiing with Troy and Sabra. Now that we are parents, we don't get to ski as much as we would like to so we had so much fun! We came home and had dinner then went to Grandma Cazier's to celebrate the twins birthday (happy birthday girls). I love surprises, but I am nearly impossible to surprise. Dustin and I had agreed not to really do anything for Valentines Day this year, but when we got home I opened my drawer and saw a little box with gold wrapping . Did I mention I LOVE SURPRISES! I honestly wasn't expecting anything this year and I really didn't expect to find a beautiful new necklace hidden in my UNDERWEAR drawer. Thanks Babe! You are the best husband ever!

What a great guy!

Dustin has ALWAYS had flowers sent to me at work for Valentines day, but this morning the door bell rang at home and to my surprise it was the flower guy. Why did he chose to have them sent to our home rather than to work? Because Brinley doesn't work and he wanted to send flowers to both of his girls. There were TWO bouquets of flowers addressed to me AND Brinley What a GREAT dad! Thanks babe, we LOVE you and the flowers.

And the best part is... It's not even Valentines Day yet so, we get to spend two days celebrating my favorite day of the year.

Thanks Kris

My friend Kris made this hat for Brinley. I love the hat! I think it's so adorable so I had to take a picture for her. Thanks again!

Playing some basketball

We took Brinley to play basketball with us this weekend. She had so much fun, except for when she got hit in the head with a ball. I just don't know how so much energy can be packed into one little girl.

Brinley’s Big Announcement and One Proud Mama

After a month or so of practice Brinley finally went on the big girl potty. We were both very excited. I’m not in any hurry to get her potty trained. I am actually very grateful that I have those dirty diapers to change, but Brinley gave us the signs that she was ready to start training. Being a mom is funny, you get so proud of your baby whenever they accomplish something; a new word, going potty for the fist time… This morning Brinley was coloring a picture when I heard her say “B, I, Q, Y.” She was trying to spell her name. It was so cute and I’m so proud of my little girl. I know she will spend lots of time chasing her dreams.

The Ghetto Crib

A couple of weeks ago Brinley was having a really rough day. She really NEEDED a nap, but didn't want to take one. When I put her down for her nap she cried and cried. So, I got her out of her crib and tried holding her, but anyone that know Brinley knows that she would never go to sleep that way, even as a baby we had to just lay her in her bed and let her go to sleep. I tried holding her and laying down with her to get her to sleep, but she just got more tired and more in need of a nap. So, I tried it a second time... When I put her down she screamed, but I walked away thinking I would give her a few minutes to see if she would fall asleep. As soon as I walked across the house I heard a loud bang. I knew exactly what it was so I ran to her room only to find her lying on her back IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FLOOR. I was really scared that she could be seriously hurt and that's when she stopped crying and looked at me like ha ha I got out of my crib. I know it scared her, but she was really proud of herself. Needless to say, as soon as Dustin came home he unbolted the bottom of the crib and she now sleeps in this "cage" It's a mattress on the floor with her crib around it.
