Oh to be FIVE
Brinley wanted a Tangled party. This was hard for me because 1. My life has been super busy and 2. I had a hard time coming up with ideas that tied in with the movie. Good thing it doesn't take much to impress a 5 year old. We decided to just have a family party again this year. Thanks so much to those who came!
I made a tangled tower for pictures. I couldn't post all of the pictures so I just chose a few of my favorites.
Then everyone decorated their lanterns for the big take off.
The big take off didn't end up being so big. We lit them, but the dang things didn't work. Imagine that, the Chinese lanterns were made in China. I wonder if that had something to do with their failure to launch????
It was so disappointing. Ok I'm the only one that was disappointed. Brinley actually didn't care at all. She was just happy to be 5. Happy Birthday darling! We are the luckiest parents in the world!
She's sew cool
We put Brinley in a sewing class my friend, Jill was teaching. She LOVED it! I was so impressed with how much she learned. Here she is proud as a peacock with her very first sewing project, a pin cushion. Brinley kept telling me she was making a "pillow" I' guess it's whatever she wants it to be, she made it.

Eat, Sleep, Run, Relax, Hike
It sure is easy to get behind on life. We camped at a few weeks ago at Franklin Basin, it's really beautiful up there. We had a good time. It was worth posting a few pictures. We stayed one night with just our little family and Jessica and all of the boys came up the next night. Brinley fell off the bunk bed in our little trailer. Lucky she didn't get hurt.

It’s contagious
Brinley walks around singing songs she learned in preschool...all the time. It's really cute. Last night I was on the phone with my Mom and heard the girls laughing. Brinley is always making London laugh. They really love each other. It's sweet. I asked my Mom if she could hear them. Her Grand kids are what she lives for, it's what she fights for. I had a really great conversation with my Mom and just before I got off the phone with her she brought it to my attention that my house had gotten quiet so I hung up the phone and went to check on the girls. I found them like this...
I kind of wanted to get mad for two reasons... 1. I wasn't super happy Brinley climbed into London's crib, I don't think it's safe and 2. look at that mess! But the words to one of Brinley's preschool songs popped into my head:
When I see your smiling face
I find I'm smiling too
Cause smiling is contagious
and I caught a smile from you
Now that I have caught your smile
I will pass it on
Until all around the big wide world
all the frowns are gone
