The Great Salt Lake

We wanted to do something fun with the girls so we stayed  in Salt Lake, took them to the Gateway museum, let them pick out a bear at the Build a Bear Workshop and spent the next day at Hoggle Zoo.  It was a fun little get away.

This picture probably goes without caption, but two words for you, she's exhausting!

And he's all mine

Dustin planned one of the funnest dates for us.  We went up the canyon with the Littles, ordered takeout and watched a movie (he brought a projector) and tried our luck at cooking popcorn over the fire.  It was a blast, even if I did burn the popcorn.

Girl's Day Out

I took the girls on a little hike and we stopped to feed the ducks when they came across this hurt duck.  It touched me to see how sweet the girls were with it.  They fed him bread and after we left they worried about it for days.

Ogden Temple

We had the opportunity to go to the Ogden temple open house with the Wilkens.  It was really beautiful.

The House That Love Built - Project Bathroom

I always think it would be fun to post before and after pictures of some of our projects just so I have them to look back on, but the truth is... I'm horrible at it and I never actually think to take before pictures.  Occasionally I think to take  during pictures.  That being said, remember when our bathroom looked like this...
We ended up transforming it (like a couple of years ago) into what is currently my favorite room in the house.   I love the clean lines and earth tones we have going on in here.  For some reason walking into this bathroom just calms me.  Sometimes I just walk in there, glance at the botanical prints or admire the neutral color palate and walk back out..  Big thanks to my husband for being such a rock star and my cousin Shannon for convincing me to paint our cabinets in there a while back (she actually did all of the work on them) and I think they look great black even though we changed the entire direction of the bathroom after she did that.

First Day of Second Grade

Brinley's first day of second grade was rough (for me).  I always hate sending her to school, especially after being able to spend time with her all summer. I can't believe my 5 pound baby is now a second grader.
