Like mother like daughter

I had to laugh when I picked up Brinley's purse today and saw that she had stuffed it full of receipts. I must confess that my purse also looks like this.

Hogle Zoo

So glad we chose to take Brinley to the zoo on Tuesday instead of work.

Brinley LOVED riding the train the most.

It turns out, we aren't very good at taking pictures of ourselves.

Camping... the 24th and our pooch

On the 24th we put Brinley down for a nap and Dustin and I were just sitting down reading and Roxy was laying by us. All of the sudden she started yelping and crying like she was in pain. We couldn't figure out what was wrong with her. She eventually stopped, but something was still wrong. I honestly thought she was dying. I tried to get her to come to me and she wouldn't move. We stood her up and tried to get her to walk and her legs wouldn't work. She just fell over. We rushed her down to a vet, but being the 24th, nothing was open so we made an "emergency" call. By the time we saw the vet she was walking, but not being herself. By the time we left she was totally herself. WEIRD! We thought of snake bites and bug bites, but the vet seems to think it was a seizure. WEIRD! And because she did it again a couple of days later that may be a sign that something else is going on internally. Hope she's ok, I don't know what Brinley would do without her best friend.

Never Trust a Two Year Old

Doesn't this face look so sweet and innocent?Well... It's NOT!

I swear, I just left long enough to start the washer and the last thing I said to her was, "Brinley, only color on the paper."

"Okay Mommy."

A few seconds later, this is what I came back to.

Then... when I put her in the bath, the water immediately turned turquoise and she cried because the water was "dirty." For a little girl that likes to be clean, she sure makes lots of messes.

Miniature Golfing

We took Brinley Miniature Golfing this weekend. She had so much fun,

but didn't exactly play by the rules.

Then she got stung by a bee and didn't even cry. She just kept saying that it hurt and she needed a band-aid.

Yummy-yummy bubble-gummy

Yesterday Dustin and I had a bubblegum eating contest...

I knew he would win, he has a HUGE mouth.


It's really hard to blow a bubble with this big of a wad.

After 31 pieces my stomach started to hurt. Then I read the food label only to find out that each piece of gum had 10 calories and 2 grams of sugar. I consumed more calories in this nasty wad of gum than a McDonald's cheeseburger. WHAT A WASTE of 310 calories!!!! I decided to quit there. Dustin quit somewhere around 50 with lots of room to spare.

On Saturday we hiked the windcaves. It's a really pretty hike. We came way too close to a rattlesnake!

I Love Tennis

For our date night last week Dustin and I had our first tennis lesson. We both LOVED it! Why have I not been playing tennis all my life? We aren't good at all, but we had so much fun and I can't wait to play again and we had the best teacher ever. If anyone wants to take tennis lessons let me know and I can get you her information.
