The peanut butter trick

"Mom, somehow I got gum in my hair and I don't know how."

"BRINLEY, How did you get gum in your hair?"

"I don't know!"

"Brinley!  How did you get gum in your hair?"

"Well, I was just trying to make a necklace with my gum and it got stuck."

The peanut butter trick didn't work.  We ended up cutting it out of her hair.
