Since we stayed in Jersey city we would have to take the Path train (similar to the subway) under the Hudson river everyday to get into Manhattan. We would get off here at World Trade Center. They actually have “Rush Hours” early in the morning and around the time everyone gets off work. Rush hour is actually a walking rush hour so they change the escalators in the morning so they go up and at night they go down. When you are walking down the sidewalk (or anywhere) you can’t stop or you will probably get run over. I don’t know how to describe the chaos, but it really effected me to walk by Ground Zero in the morning and see how many hundreds of people would have been walking on that very sidewalk on September 11th. I can’t even imagine how that must have been.
