ALOHA!!!

Dustin and I just got back from a much needed vacation, just the two of us. We spent a week in Hawaii and it was so great! I feel so blessed to have been in such a beautiful place. We got there on the 10th and ended up being awake for almost an entire 24 hours that day. The view from the balcony in our room was so amazing, we slept with the door open most nights and just listened to the ocean. Day 1: bought fresh pineapple, coconut and bananas and enjoyed most of the day at Turtle Bay (our resort). We ate dinner at a restaurant on the beach, so great!!!

 Brinley has made some great improvements in gymnastics and is ready to move up to the next class anytime. She loves it and asks me almost every morning if she can go to gymnastics.

Baby Animal Days

We took Brinley to Baby Animal Days. She loves animals and she loves people, but what she doesn’t do so well with is people in big crowds! She hates it! It overwhelms her. So, she loved seeing the animals, but was a little hesitant to pet them because of all the people. The little bear cub was super cute!

Happy Easter

When going through my pictures from Easter I came across this one, and it brought tears to my eyes.  Words can not express how much I love this little girl.  I love this picture because it is so her, so happy and so full of life.  I love it because it's real.  I look up to this little girl.  I want to be like her.  When I look at this picture I say to myself, "THAT is what life is all about."

We had a great Easter.  I love Easter and I love spring!  I love what they represent... growth and new beginnings.

Dear Brinley,

Right now you are so obsessed with anything that can fly. You strap your wings on and you run around really fast and say, “Look mom, I’m flying.” Or sometimes you get discouraged and say, “I can’t fly. I wish I could fly like the birds.”

Little girl, you can fly and don't you ever let anyone tell you otherwise. I am so amazed by you and can’t wait to see where those little wings take you.
